The purpose of the visual aid is to act as a prompt for the delivery of a speech, or to assist in engaging the audience in a speaking performance, depending on the requirements of the assessment activity.

If cue cards are used as a visual aid, the speech is not to be read from the cards. The cards are to be used only as a prompt.

Schools are reminded that a CD-R/DVD-R is the medium for submitting evidence of korero for moderation.

Recordings must be accompanied by the "Moderation: Visual Evidence Cover Sheet" (opposite).

The location of evidence to be moderated must be clearly identified on the form.
