Entries into Scholarship Visual Arts

As advised in SecQual circular S2005/003, although candidates can only make one entry for the Visual Arts Scholarship standard, they may submit workbook extracts and portfolios for one or more of each of the Visual Arts contexts: design, painting, photography, printmaking and sculpture.

In 2005 the context or contexts for all Visual Arts Scholarship candidates must be entered via a new facility which will be available from 22 August 2005 in the school's High Security Area on your Provider page.

This facility will only be available for those schools with Visual Arts candidates entered in the Scholarship Visual Arts standard via the entry file. If the link is not shown in your High Security Features area, or a candidate is missing from the list, check your latest entry file to ensure all candidates are correctly entered.

You will only be able to indicate a context for a candidate where that candidate is also entered in the associated Level 3 standard. If a required context option does not appear for a Scholarship candidate, check your latest entry file to ensure the candidate is entered in the correct Level 3 standards.

Even if all your Scholarship Visual Arts candidates are only submitting work in one context, and that context is included in the entry file, you must still confirm this context using the new facility.

Schools will have until 16 September 2005 to indicate Scholarship contexts on-line.
