S2009/001 - 9 January 20092009 Examination TimetableThe 2009 NCEA and Scholarship examination timetable is now available. As notified in SecQual S2008/024, the external examination period will run from Saturday, 14 November to Wednesday, 2 December 2009, to enable marking to be completed prior to Christmas. Results will be available to candidates and schools early in 2010. Willingness by principals to release teachers to attend panel meetings during the school day will again be critical to the marking process, and we thank you for your on-going cooperation. The format of the timetable has changed for 2009. To avoid any extension to the examination period and to minimise timetable clash issues, different levels of a subject are assessed on different days. It is important that teachers, school administrators and the school community know the exact dates of all examinations and understand the implications of the examination timetable for student course selections and programme planning.EnquiriesCirculars are available from the Qualifications authority website (www.nzqa.govt.nz/publications/circulars).
