School information formThe form sent with the original hard-copy of this circular contains a summary of the information relating to your school that is currently held on New Zealand Qualifications Authority (NZQA) files. Please check all details carefully, amend the information where necessary, and return the form to NZQA by 17 February 2009 to ensure that NZQA databases can be updated as soon as possible. This is important given the extent of the contact that is required with schools, particularly near the start of the year. If any of the information changes during the course of the year, even on a temporary basis, please notify NZQA of the revised details. Principal's email addressPlease include an up-to-date email address for your school's principal. The Manager Secondary Assessment and Liaison, and the Deputy Chief Executive Qualifications, use this email group to communicate directly with principals on high-level policy and important operational issues. Due to lack of a current email addresses, some principals are not involved in this process and are missing out on this key information. The principal may delegate part of the principal's nominee's responsibilities to another member of the school staff. However, in terms of the Rules and Procedures, NZQA will only deal or consult with, or take recommendations from, the principal or the principal's nominee. Using the original hard-copy form, make a nomination for the position of principal's nominee for your school. Principals' nominees play a very important role.
