Applications for Australian tertiary institutions

Secondary schools that have students wishing to apply for tertiary courses in Australia need to arrange for their secondary qualification results to be released by NZQA.

The process is as follows:

•	When making a secondary school qualification entry, students must indicate to the Principal's Nominee that they are happy to allow their results to be released to tertiary institutions.
•	Students must apply to the relevant Admissions Centre or university.
•	The Admissions Centre or university will request NZQA to release the student's results.
•	NZQA will send the results to that Admissions Centre or university.

NZQA releases candidates' results to Australian Tertiary Admissions Centres, the University of Tasmania and the Northern Territory University. The Admissions Centres work on behalf of all the universities and other tertiary providers within that state/territory.

New Zealand citizens must apply to an Admissions Centre to ensure their results are forwarded to them by NZQA.
