Format of the assessment
There will be three questions. The questions will require analysis of biological situations and the use of ecological and evolutionary principles to integrate biological knowledge and skills into an extended answer. Resource or stimulus material may be provided.
Content/Context details
The questions in the examination will be based around broad themes that cover the content areas specified in the Level 3 Achievement Standards. Candidates may also be expected to draw on biological concepts included in the Level 2 Achievement Standards.
The use of bullet points and bolding may not be used in the body of the question. Bullet points, if used in a question, are supplementary information to answering the question and should not be treated as separate.
