Format of the assessment
Questions will be set on the ten topics listed in the explanatory notes to the standard. Candidates choose three of the topics.
Within each topic there are three questions, and candidates choose one of these.
Each essay is marked out of 8, to give a total of 24 marks.
One question for each topic will require a commentary on a provided source or provided sources.
Resources or information supplied
Answer space will be provided in a separate answer booklet.
Illustrations provided will be in colour where possible.
