Mandatory review of business qualifications levels 1-6 / He arotake whakahauanga i ngā tohu mātauranga pakihi taumata 1-6
Qualifications in Business (at levels 1-6, excluding university qualifications) were scheduled for review as part of the nation-wide mandatory review of qualifications. Currently there is a wide range of qualifications in Business (and in several other areas) with many apparently similar qualifications at the same level.
The mandatory review was to reduce the duplication and proliferation of qualifications on a national scale, and to ensure that qualifications are useful, relevant and valuable to current and future learners, employers and other stakeholders.
I tae ki te wā e arotakengia ai Ngā Tohu Mātauranga Pakihi (mai i ngā taumata 1-6, kaua ko ngā tohu mātauranga o te whare wānanga) i runga anō i te arotake whakahau ā motu. He maha ngā tohu mātauranga i raro i te marau Pakihi (me ētahi atu marau) e hanga ōrite ana ā paetae, ā taumata anō hoki.
Ko tā te arotake whakahauanga he kaupare i te tāruaruatanga me te whakaputanga maha o ngā tohu mātauranga ki te motu. Mā tēnei arotakenga e whai hua, e whai pānga ai ngā tohu mātauranga ki ngā ākonga o raurangi, ki ngā kaitukumahi me ētahi kaipupuri punga.

A Governance Group developed a needs analysis to justify the new qualifications it is developing, including a commissioned literature review. This is a living document and will be updated as more information is available.
As a result of the analysis of the Māori Business qualifications, the Governance Group added to the needs analysis to justify their development. This should be read in conjunction with the needs analysis.
Me pānui ngātahi ngā tuhinga e rua nei.
