Deadlines for applications
Applications are due at NZQA by Friday 17 February 2012 for level 3 and Friday 16 March 2012 for Scholarship.
Candidates are advised to seek advice from their school before deciding whether to apply for a reconsideration in Visual Arts.
Reconsiderations should only be applied for where there is such a significant difference between the expectations of the candidate’s school and the candidate’s final result that all parties suspect that an assessment or processing error may have occurred. The candidate’s Visual Arts teacher can advise whether there are reasonable grounds for suspecting that an error has occurred and whether it is worthwhile paying for a reconsideration.
Where candidates are applying for reconsiderations in more than one field or for both level 3 and Scholarship in the same field, a separate reconsideration application form (PDF, 54KB) should be completed and separate photographs sent for each application.
Applications
Candidates must complete the reconsideration application form and pay a fee for each standard/subject portfolio to be reconsidered. Completed forms should be submitted with payment and accompanying high-quality A4 colour photographs, authenticated by the candidate’s Visual Arts teacher.
A candidate’s workbook must accompany reconsideration applications for Scholarship.
Fees
Level 3 - $20.40 per standard
Scholarship - $30.70 per field
Deadline for Applications
All Level 3 applications must arrive by Friday 17 February 2012.
All Scholarship applications must arrive by Friday 16 March 2012.
Applications received after these dates will not be considered.
