NZ Diploma in Business version two information

This page contains information on the requirements for achieving version two of the New Zealand Diploma in Business.

Version two requirements

A candidate has achieved NZDipBus version two when the candidate has:

  • achieved 240 credits of which 80 credits are at level six
  • completed six of the seven core prescriptions (refer prescriptions marked * in the table below)
  • completed no more than 60 credits at level four.

The last date for award of version two is 30 June 2013.  People who have not completed version two by this date may either complete version three or apply for an extension to the final date for award.

Only the 400-600 NZDipBus prescriptions will be counted towards version three.

For the purposes of awarding version two of the qualification, grades of 'C' or higher in 100-200 prescriptions in the table below will be accepted as equivalent to a 'pass' result for the corresponding 400-600 prescriptions.  These results will be recorded with the 100-200 prescription code and the grade achieved.

Elective prescriptions which have changed in level

Elective 100-200 prescriptions that have increased in level (as indicated in the table below) will not count towards the version two level requirements.  For example, if you require 20 credits at level 6 to complete the qualification, prescription 275 would not meet this requirement.

Grades of 'C' or higher for these prescriptions may still count for 20 elective credits towards the 240 credits required for version two of the qualification.
