Pastoral care codes and self-review workshops

The New Zealand Qualifications Authority (NZQA) is hosting a series of four online workshops for those who want to learn more about self-review, the international Code and the interim domestic Code.

To ensure as many people as possible can attend, we are running these workshops on multiple dates.

Workshops will start on 3 November and will be run weekly until the start of December. The link to the registration page contains all dates and times.

All workshops will be held via Zoom.

What will I do at the workshops?

  • Understand the principles behind self-review and how to maximise your self-review process and reporting to support your organisation’s self-review of performance against the Code(s).
  • Review and improve your organisation's current pastoral care, build your capability and share good practice with other providers.
  • Identify which outcomes you currently meet and which outcome areas require further development.
  • Explore how to address any Code related issues and improve your processes.
  • Learn how to capture student voice and incorporate that feedback into your pastoral care practices and student support services.
