New Zealand Record of Achievement

NZQA has been working to deliver a modernised, learner-friendly and more comprehensive Record of Achievement. This will now be named the New Zealand Record of Achievement.

A modernised, learner-friendly interface

A redesigned interface gives new functionalities and features, allowing learners to:

  • display their most relevant and/or up-do-date qualifications and components of learning
  • access a separate tab with their contact details, which they can update directly and choose to display on their record
  • add the education organisation that awarded the qualification
  • preview and save an electronic copy of their official record, then send it to third parties. The electronic copy of the transcript can be verified using a document verification feature available on the NZQA website.

Designed to evolve with future needs

As an official electronic document, the New Zealand Record of Achievement has undergone a complete makeover.

The Record will continue to display NCEA standards, endorsements and awards, and progressively all qualifications achieved across the 10 levels of the New Zealand Qualifications Framework (PDF, 606KB) will be added.

As other education-wide projects progress, the record will show other components of learning in addition to assessment standards. The New Zealand Record of Achievement will be flexible to respond to future innovations.

This approach will ensure that learners’ records are as comprehensive and useful when job-searching or applying for further learning, and will support lifelong learners.

Learners will be able to access the new interface and customise their New Zealand Record of Achievement in late May 2017.
