Action Plan for Pacific Education launched

21 Jul 2020

The Ministry of Education has launched the Action Plan for Pacific Education 2020-2030, which sets out how to ensure diverse Pacific learners and their families are safe, valued, and equipped to achieve their education aspirations.

NZQA welcomes the release of the Action Plan, which outlines five key system shifts, spanning early learning services, schools and tertiary providers.

The Action Plan was developed by the Ministry of Education in partnership with NZQA, ERO, TEC, the Teaching Council and the Ministry for Pacific Peoples.

In addition, NZQA is currently seeking feedback on Takiala Pasifika and Te Kōkiritanga, which are NZQA’s strategic action plans for Pacific and Māori learner success.

Takiala Pasifika and Te Kōkiritanga support the overarching Ministry strategies and the 30-year education vision. Consultation on these two strategies closes on 29 July.
