Budget supports continued growth and operation of NCEA Online
13 Jun 2020
The Government has announced funding for NZQA to continue growing and delivering NCEA Online, which last year saw almost 14,500 students from around 200 schools achieve a result from a digital exam.
Today’s announcement means digital exams will have an ongoing place in secondary schools; and is a credit to the work done by teachers, schools and partners including Network for Learning.
With the increased uptake of digital teaching and learning over the last few months, we anticipate schools and students will continue to grow increasingly comfortable with digital exams.
This year, 58 online exams will be available across 21 subjects including, for the first time, all three levels of Te Reo Māori, Te Reo Rangatira and Gagana Sāmoa.
