Call for Expressions of Interest: Te Marautanga o Aotearoa Level 1 pilot
6 Jul 2021
In the 2022 school year, the Ministry of Education will be piloting Te Marautanga o Aotearoa (TMoA) NCEA Level 1 Wāhanga Ako. This includes Te Reo Rangatira, Pāngarau, Hauora, Tikanga ā-iwi, Ngā Toi (Toi Puoro, Ngā Mahi a te Rēhia, Toi Ataata), Pūtaiao and Hangarau.
The pilot in 2022 will provide kura an opportunity to test the robustness of the materials and provide their feedback. This will allow for further refinements before the new subjects and Paerewa Paetae (achievement standards) become compulsory in 2023.
If your kura is interested in taking part in the pilot, complete an Expression of Interest form on the NCEA Education website by 22 August 2021. For queries, email temarautanga.oaotearoa@education.govt.nz.
