Exams are over, Summer begins

30 Nov 2018

NCEA and New Zealand Scholarship exams are over for another year with the final candidates completing their last exam this afternoon.

“Over 140,000 students have attended 120 exam sessions across New Zealand, the Cook Islands and Niue over the last four weeks”, says NZQA Deputy Chief Executive Kristine Kilkelly.

“The great support of schools, Exam Centre staff and whānau has helped ensure the examinations process ran smoothly.

“We wish all students a relaxing time as we head into Summer after all of their hard work.”

Approximately 8,000 students from 52 schools entered to sit their exams online as part of our Digital Trials and Pilots programme. This year we offered online exams for English, Classical Studies and Media Studies at NCEA Levels 1, 2 and 3.

NCEA results will be released online on 15 January 2019 and New Zealand Scholarship results will be released on 7 February 2019.

The secure Learner Login will be unavailable from 11 January until the results release on 15 January to prepare for the release of results.

“We recommend students practice logging into the Learner Login before Christmas, so on the day results are released, they won’t be held back by trying to find their login details or reset their password.”

Students who have paid their fees will be able to access their New Zealand Record of Achievement with their 2018 results through their Learner Login from 16 January 2019. Through their Learner Login, they can also order their certificates.

Student exam answer booklets will be returned from late January.

Students can visit the Student Hub for more information about accessing their results.
