Consultation on proposed changes to NZQA Rule

11 Dec 2018

The New Zealand Qualifications Authority (NZQA) is consulting on proposed changes to the NZQF Programme Approval and Accreditation Rules 2018. We regularly review the Rules to ensure that they are clear, address emerging risks and enable us to effectively perform our quality assurance functions.

NZQA is proposing to strengthen the evidence international students need to use previous English-medium education to meet the English proficiency entry requirements for studying in New Zealand.

The proposed changes respond to risks that NZQA and Immigration New Zealand have identified in the tertiary education sector.

You can make submissions from 11 December 2018 to 11 February 2019.

To find out more and to complete the consultation survey, please see Proposed changes to NZQA Rules.
