9.2 Review of decisions or content process

  1. Schools may request NZQA to review a SAC decision through the SAC online application tool.
  2. Schools may in writing request NZQA to review Content by:
    1. using the NZQA External Moderation Application;
    2. providing reasons for the review; and
    3. providing the original moderation material.
  3. Candidates may in writing request NZQA to review a Derived Grade decision, providing reasons for the request.
  4. A School or Candidate may provide, and NZQA may request a School or Candidate to provide, any further cogent evidence in its possession which supports its review request.
  5. Following a request, NZQA will review the decisions, or Content, together with any reasons and further cogent evidence provided, then:
    1. notify the Principal’s Nominee of the School of the review outcome as soon as reasonably possible for SAC decisions:
    2. notify the Principal’s Nominee of the School of the review outcome within 20 working days for Content:
    3. notify the Candidate and the Principal’s Nominee of the School of the review outcome within 15 working days for Derived Grade decisions.
