7.1.8 Return of Achievement Standard External Assessment Material

  1. NZQA will return examination answer booklets  related to external assessment of achievement standards in February 2017 by mail to the New Zealand postal address provided to NZQA or (if the technology has been put in place) will provide electronic access to external assessment materials through the Learner log-in (except for portfolio material which will be physically returned).  NZQA will not return Scholarship Physical Education reports and CDs, or DVDs which schools have copies of (for examples for subjects such as Dance and drama).

  3. Where NZQA is returning physical copies of any external assessment materials to Candidates, NZQA will exercise all care in processing external assessment materials and returning them to Candidates. NZQA is, however, unable to accept any liability for any damage to the materials or non-delivery of them to a Candidate, or for any damage to the materials or non-delivery of them where they are sent to NZQA for a review or reconsideration.
  4. All unclaimed external assessment materials will be disposed of on or after 30 June 2017.
  5. All electronic copies of external assessment materials will be deleted on or after 30 June 2017 following the assessment, and any electronic access that Candidates may have through the Learner log-in will not be available after 30 June 2017.
  6. NZQA may alter the dates in this Rule 7.1.8 in extenuating circumstances.
