Earlier release of Assessment Schedules for externally assessed Achievement Standards

The assessment schedule is the markers’ guide, showing what was accepted or looked for in candidate answers.

From January 2022, the assessment schedules for externally assessed Levels 1-3 Achievement Standards will be made available shortly after results are released. This includes schedules for all externally assessed Achievement Standards, as well as the common assessment activities and examinations included in the Review of Achievement Standards (RAS) pilots and mini pilots.

This does not include the assessment schedules for New Zealand Scholarship or the pilots for Te Reo Matatini, Te Pāngarau, Literacy and Numeracy Unit Standards.

Previously the schedules were released after the reconsideration process had closed to prevent a candidate using the schedule to amend their answer before applying for a reconsideration. With the move to onscreen marking (see Circular A2021/22), a delay is no longer needed. Candidates are advised to seek advice from their kaiako/teachers before submitting a request for reconsideration
