Derived Grades for Common Assessment Activities for schools piloting draft achievement standards in 2021
Opening of the Derived Grade Tool to enable applications to be made.
NZQA will open derived grade applications in the Provider login from 19 May 2021 for those schools piloting draft achievement standards in Science, Religious Education and Te Ao Haka. This will allow pilot schools to make derived grade applications for students whose performance is impaired in, or who are absent from, a Common Assessment Activity.
Pilot schools can find details of the derived grade process for individual standards in the Information for Pilot Schools English, Science, Visual Arts, Religious Studies, Te Ao Haka provided early in Term 2. They are reminded to restrict access to the online tool, to protect student privacy.
NZQA will check and remove any applications received before 1 October from non-pilot schools.
NZQA will open derived grade applications for all schools on 1 October 2021.
