Changes to the Assessment Specifications for Media Studies Level 1 AS90991 from 2021
Changes have been made to the 2021 assessment specifications for NCEA Media Studies Level 1 AS90991, as the result of our regular process of review and improvement. There is no change to the specifications for the other Level 1 Media Studies externally assessed standard, 90992.
Details of the changes
For 90991, candidates will be expected to apply knowledge and understanding from their learning to respond to questions based on news media texts provided in a resource booklet (Refer to 2021 Assessment Specifications for detail on this).
A sample examination paper for 90991 will be available on NZQA’s Media Studies subject page by the end of term 1 2021.
