Māori Performing Arts and Mau Rākau Guide to Remote Assessment
A2020/11 - 30 Apr 2020
To: |
Principal/Tumuaki |
In response to the impacts of COVID-19 on Māori Performing Arts and Mau Rākau assessment, NZQA has published a guide for assessment of the levels 1, 2, 3 and 4 standards of these subjects.
The guide can be found on the Māori Performing Arts subject page of the NZQA website.
As these standards require assessment evidence of a demonstration or performance, learners will need access to:
- an appropriate space to demonstrate or perform;
- a recording device (i.e. camera and or phone with recording capability);
- someone to record them doing their demonstration and/or performance; and
- access to internet to upload video evidence to a platform for assessors to access.
This may pose equity issues for students and must be taken into account when programme planning.
