NCEA Level 3 Psychology 91876 Examination
In 2018 psychology achievement standard 91876 will be assessed by an external examination. In December 2017, the following will be published on the Psychology subject page of the NZQA website:
- sample examination paper
- sample assessment schedule
- exemplar responses
- 2018 assessment specifications.
The sample examination paper and assessment schedule are indicative of the format and style of the 2018 external examination.
Students will be required to write a concise essay response on ONE significant issue that they have studied. They will be provided with a range of statements and required to choose ONE of these to respond to. The variety of statements is intended to offer scope for students to choose to discuss any issue in psychological practice.
Candidates should use specific information from published theories, concepts or studies in their response. These may be drawn from a particular context within Psychology or from a range of contexts.
