Reporting entries and results for schools piloting draft achievement standards. Draft achievement standards added to the Base Scope for schools
A small number of schools are piloting draft achievement standards in English, Visual Arts, Science, Religious Education, Te Ao Haka and draft literacy and numeracy unit standards in 2021.
We expect pilot schools to be able to report entries (and later results for internal assessment) against the piloted standards from 1 April onwards. A unique NZQA number has been applied to assist with managing the pilots and associated entries and results data from the schools assessing these draft standards.
The new draft standards have been added to all schools’ base scope of consent to assess. However, this year NZQA will only accept entries and results for the draft standards from schools who are participating in the pilots. We will monitor entries and results reported by all schools after 1 April 2021 to ensure we do not receive entries and results submitted in error by non-participating schools.
Pilot schools will need to upload their Standards file from their secure site into their SMS before entries are made or results reported for the new standards.
Information about the draft standards can be found on the Ministry of Education website
