Ringa Toi Student Exhibition 2019
Celebrating Student Success

He toi tupu, he toi ora, he toi i ahu mai i Hawaiki.

Tomokia ki te whare o Toi. Ko te whare nei i parua iho ki te muka rāwhiti, ki te neko, ki te kaitaka, ki te pakipaki – hei mātakitaki mō te ao whānui e.

NZQA continues to celebrate future artists through supporting and showcasing student success within Toi Māori. The New Zealand Qualifications Authority (NZQA) invites you to register your interest in submitting student work for the fourth Ringa Toi Student Exhibition.

Who can exhibit?

The exhibition is open to students working towards achieving NCEA levels 1 to 3 with a focus on Toi Māori at Excellence level.

The exhibition will include Toi Wharepora (contemporary and traditional weaving forms), Toi Whakairo (carving), Toi Matihiko (digital print where the reproduction processes have been completed by computer), Toi Matatuhi (printmaking, ie, intaglio), Toi Waituhi (paint, ink and drawing), and Toi Matarau (shaping and fashioning) showcasing Excellence.

Registration of interest

If you are interested in submitting material, please complete and submit the registration of interest form by Friday 9 August 2019. We will send you further information once registrations close. Register here.

Exhibition dates

The exhibition will be held at the Asteron Centre, 55 Featherston Street, Wellington; date to be advised.
