Literacy and Numeracy Markers
Type: Part-time contract | Location: New Zealand | Closing date: 29 Jun 2022
Markers will be required to attend an online training meeting on Monday 11 July and marking will take place in the following three weeks.
Working relationships
Markers will be required to:
- liaise with NZQA personnel and marking contractors.
- maintain the highest levels of security and confidentiality when liaising with the External Assessment Team members and other examination contractors and while working with the assessment materials.
Professional and personal qualities
Markers will demonstrate:
- extensive subject knowledge of Numeracy and familiarity with the New Zealand Curriculum
- an understanding of the principles of standards-based assessment
- knowledge of the rights and responsibilities of the partners of the Treaty of Waitangi in an education assessment setting
- the ability to establish constructive working relationships with other professionals
- clear and effective communication
- the ability to work to stringent deadlines
- the ability to implement and maintain appropriate administrative and communication systems.
Returning markers
NZQA contractors will be able to use their username/ID and password to access the application form.
If you already have a User ID and Password for NZQA you MUST use these to complete your marker application. Do not re-register, but go to the Login page.
New applicants
New applicants will be required to complete NZQA's registration process before filling out the application form.
