| This unit standard is designed for people who are providing well child care services for children under 5 years of age within the context of whanau or family, under the Well Child Framework, and within the requirements of the Well Child - Tamariki Ora national schedule. People credited with this unit standard are able to: describe aspects of human development relevant to Tamariki Ora - Well Child services; describe a supportive, nurturing environment for tamariki/children; plan to reduce the incidence of unintentional injury of tamariki/children in Tamariki Ora - Well Child service work; and describe common contagious and chronic health conditions that affect tamariki/children and implement management strategies within Tamariki Ora - Well Child services. | |||||||||
