| This unit standard is primarily intended for people such as club or youth group leaders, teachers, or leaders at an outdoor activity centre who provide single-pitch top-rope rock climbing experiences. People credited with this unit standard are able to: describe climbing equipment used for single-pitch top-rope climbing in New Zealand; prepare for single-pitch top-rope climbing and belaying; construct single-pitch top rope climbing systems; demonstrate single-pitch top-rope climbing and related skills; and unweight a jammed belay device. | |||||||||
