Candidates will be required to apply knowledge and understanding from their learning to respond to questions based on news media texts provided in a resource booklet.

Demonstrate understanding of characteristics of a media genre

The examination will take the form of a single essay.

Candidates will be required to respond to ONE of a number of statements / questions.

Candidates are encouraged to write a concise response of no more than 550–600 words (3–4 pages). Assessment will be based on the quality of the response rather than its length.

Information in planning spaces will not be marked.
