Chinese - annotated exemplars

An annotated exemplar is an extract of student evidence, with a commentary, to explain key aspects of the standard. They assist teachers to make assessment judgements at the grade boundaries.

The material in these exemplars cannot be used (either in part or in full) for internal or external assessments submitted for any form of grading.

Level 1

  • AS90869 - Give a spoken presentation in Chinese that communicates a personal response (1.2)
  • AS90870 - Interact using spoken Chinese to communicate personal information, ideas and opinions in different situations (1.3)
  • AS90872 - Write a variety of text types in Chinese on areas of most immediate relevance (1.5)

Level 2

  • AS91109 - Interact using spoken Chinese to share information and justify ideas and opinions in different situations (2.3)
  • AS91110 - Give a spoken presentation in Chinese that communicates information, ideas and opinions (2.2)
  • AS91112 - Write a variety of text types in Chinese to convey information, ideas, and opinions in genuine contexts (2.5)

Level 3

  • AS91534 - Give a clear spoken presentation in Chinese that communicates a critical response to stimulus material (3.2)
  • AS91535 - Interact clearly using spoken Chinese to explore and justify varied ideas and perspectives in different situations (3.3)
  • AS91537 - Write a variety of text types in clear Chinese to explore and justify varied ideas and perspectives (3.5)
