Competenz has decided that the domains referred to above should be included in the list of Base Scope of Accreditation for Schools (BSAS)[1].  The table above also shows the unit standards in the domains for the level specified when the BSAS was approved.  This means that all schools with BSAS accreditation will automatically be granted accreditation for the domain referred to above to the level specified in the table below.  Accreditation requirements for Schools will be in line with those governing conventional school subjects.

The unit standards and the Accreditation and Moderation Action Plan [Ref: 0013] have not needed amending because they already indicate that the ITO will not be involved in the accreditation process.



[1]Base Scope of Accreditation for Schools (BSAS) was formerly known as 'Conventional School Subjects' (CSS).  The new term has been adopted to avoid confusion because the Ministry of Education also uses the term CSS.
