National Certificate in Corrugated and Solid Board Converting (Specialty Gluer Operator) (Level 4) [Ref: 0512]
The Printing & Allied Industries Training Council has revised the qualifications listed above that were registered in January 1998 and August 1998.

Reason for the revision
The above qualifications were revised following concerns from employers in the Corrugated and Solid Board Manufacturing industry regarding the suitability of the requirements contained in the elective section. It was felt that changes that have occurred within some of the unit standards over the years would prevent some people from being able to achieve these qualifications.
Main changes resulting from the revision
This revision has resulted in the removal of the elective section, which has in turn altered the number of total credits in each of the qualifications.

· Elective section was removed.
· Credits decreased from 57 to 49.
National Certificate in Corrugated and Solid Board Converting (Flexo Folder Gluer Operator) (Level 4) [Ref: 0505]
· Elective section was removed.
· Credits decreased from 76 to 71.
National Certificate in Corrugated and Solid Board Converting (Rotary Die Cutting and Printing Operator) (Level 4) [Ref: 0509]
· Elective section was removed.
· Credits decreased from 83 to 75.
National Certificate in Corrugated and Solid Board Converting (Specialty Gluer Operator) (Level 4) [Ref: 0512]
· Elective section was removed.
· Credits decreased from 88 to 80.
Transition
People currently working towards earlier versions of these qualifications may either complete the requirements for those versions or transfer their results to the latest versions of the qualifications. The last date for award of earlier versions is not applicable. All training programmes from MMMM 2004 will lead to the latest versions.
