Revision of Electrical Engineering qualification

 

National Certificate in Electrical Engineering (Level 5) [Ref: 0951]

 

The ElectroTechnology Industry Training Organisation has revised the qualification listed above that was registered in May 2002.

 

Date new version published                        April 2004

 

The review of this qualification is planned to take place in                        May 2006

 

Reason for the revision

 

The qualification was revised to take account of subfield and domain reclassifications of unit standards.

 

Main changes resulting from the revision

 

Changes to structure and content

·        Subfield Electronics Technology in the Elective has been updated as Electronic Engineering

·        Domain Electricity Networks in the Elective has been updated as the domains Electricity Supply - Core Skills, Electricity Supply - Distribution Networks, and Electricity Supply - Live Work

·        Domain Power System Management in the Elective has been updated as Electricity Supply - Power System Management

·        Qualification document format updated.

 

Transition

 

People with credits for standards in the lapsing domains listed below can continue to use them to meet the qualification requirements:
