The Sport, Fitness and Recreation Industry Training Organisation has completed the review of the unit standard listed above that was registered in March 2001.
At the request of the Sport, Fitness and Recreation Industry Training Organisation, the Qualifications Authority has changed the classification of the unit standard as shown in the tables above.

Summary of review and consultation process
This unit standard was reviewed by a panel of mountain craft, and snowsport area operations experts as part of an Outdoor Recreation unit standard review. During this review, it was recommended that this unit standard move from the Snowsport to the Outdoor Recreation subfield because the unit standard is relevant to a wider audience than snowsport area operations staff. This change will also simplify accreditation applications.
Main changes resulting from the review
The review process has resulted in the following changes to the unit standard.
· Change in subfield and domain
· Change to title
· Minor content changes to ensure it is applicable to non-snowsport area operations candidates
· Change of AMAP from Snowsport AMAP 0050 to Outdoor Recreation AMAP 0102.

The scope of AMAPs 0050 and 0102 have been updated according to the reclassification.
