Summary of review and consultation process
This review is a part of a major review of motor industry and outdoor fabric product qualifications (QReview) conducted by NZ Motor Industry Training Organisation (MITO).
The QReview Higher Level Qualifications Group endorsed these standards after major consultation was carried out covering a wide range of stakeholders. The standards in this review will form part of a new level 5 advanced technical national certificate.
Main changes resulting from the review
The extent and nature of changes made include:
· Standards 5737 and 5779 were replaced by standard 21084 and reclassified
· Standard 15367 was increased in level from 4 to 5
· Standards 977 and 5784 were increased in credit
· Standards 977, 5783 and 5784 were reclassified
· Standard 5783 - an additional performance criterion was added to element 1 and an additional element added to the standard
· Standard 15367 - an additional element was added to the standard
· Changes were made to some titles and purpose statements, and to entry requirements, special notes, and ranges.
Unit standards categorised as category C expire at the end of December 2006.
