Maintenance of Civil Plant Operation qualification

 

National Certificate in Civil Plant Operation (Forestry Earthworks) [Ref: 0485]

 

The qualification listed above, which was registered in September 2000, has been updated to take account of the review of Forestry and driver licence endorsement unit standards.

Main changes resulting from the updating

 

The maintenance process has resulted in the following changes to the qualifications.

 

Changes to structure and content

• Unit standards 1211, 1213, 1214, and 1215 were replaced by 17769.
• Expiring unit standard 1212 was removed.
• Title of unit standard 5627 was updated.
• Driver Licence Endorsement unit standards reduced in credit from 8 to 3.
• Titles and credits of Chainsaw Operating unit standardswere updated.
• Unit standard 6965 increased in credit from 6 to 12.
• Credit total reduced from 100 to 92.

 

Transition

 

This qualification contains standards that replace earlier standards.  For the purposes of this qualification people who have gained credit for the expiring standards are exempt from the requirement to gain credit for the replacement standards.

People currently working towards version 2 of this qualification may complete the requirements for that version or transfer their results to this version of the qualification.  The last date for completion and award of version 2 is 31 December 2003.
