Revision of Hairdressing unit standards

The NZ Hairdressing Industry Training Organisation Inc has revised the unit standards listed above, which were registered in January 2003.

 

The review of these unit standards is planned to take place during 2008.

Reason for the revision

 

One unit standard required updating and four unit standards required minor amendments to address errors missed at review.

 

Main changes resulting from the revision

 

·        Unit standard 2759 amended to include prerequisites 2755, 2867, and 2970 to reflect recent changes to the National Certificate in Hairdressing with strands in Hairdressing Practice, and Barbering Practice [Ref: 0022]

·        Unit standard 2879 amended to correct the entry information

·        Unit standard 2880 amended to make an minor edit to the purpose statement

·        Unit standard 2882 amended to correct terminology

·        Unit standard 19793 amended to correct the purpose statement
