Change of responsibility for and revision of Design qualification

 

National Certificate in Design (Technician) (Level 4) [Ref: 0682]

 

Responsibility for the qualification referred to above that was registered in 1999, has been transferred from the Design and Construction Consultants Industry Training Organisation to InfraTrain New Zealand following the merger of Design and Construction Consultants Industry Training Organisation and the New Zealand Contracting Industry Training Organisation under the new name of InfraTrain New Zealand.

 

Date new version published                        June 2004

 

The review of this qualification is planned to take place in                        April 2006

 

Reason for the revision

 

The revision reflects the review of unit standard 7483.

 

Main change resulting from the revision

 

Change to structure and content

·          Unit standard 7483 was removed from the elective set as it had expired

·          The name of the standards setter is now InfraTrain New Zealand.

 

Transition Arrangements

 

All existing candidates may complete version 1 of this qualification or transfer their existing achievements to version 2.  It is anticipated that no existing candidates are disadvantaged by these transition arrangements.  However, candidates may appeal in the first instance to InfraTrain New Zealand, which will consider any appeal on a case-by-case basis.
