Revision of Construction Management qualification
National Diploma in Construction Management (Level 5) [Ref: 0356]
The Building and Construction Industry Training Organisation (BCITO) has revised the qualification listed above that was registered in August 1997.
Date new version published March 2004
The review of this qualification is planned to take place in December 2007
Reason for the revision
The National Diploma in Construction Management has been amended to reflect the changes made in the Architectural Technology, Construction Technology, and Quantity Surveying unit standard reviews. These changes have been requested through feedback from assessors and moderators in both the industry and provider sectors.
The stakeholder feedback process was via a construction management moderation forum of key providers held earlier in 2003, and contact was made with all active providers currently delivering programmes leading to the qualification.
The qualification now meets the requirement for a level 6 diploma, due to an increase in level and credits for unit standard 9672.
