Change of responsibility for and revision of Surveying qualification
National Diploma in Surveying (Level 6) with an optional strand in Mine Surveying [Ref: 0453]
Responsibility for the qualification referred to above that was registered in July 2001, has been transferred from the Design and Construction Consultants Industry Training Organisation to InfraTrain New Zealand following the merger of Design and Construction Consultants Industry Training Organisation and the New Zealand Contracting Industry Training Organisation under the new name of InfraTrain New Zealand.
Date new version published March 2004
The review of this qualification is planned to take place in 2005
Reason for the revision
The qualification has been revised to reflect the review of unit standards 6147 and 7483 and generic computing unit standards.
Main changes resulting from the revision
· Credits for unit standard 6147 have decreased from 10 to 4.
· Unit standard 7483 has been replaced by unit standard 19355.
· Titles of generic computing unit standards updated.
· Overall credit total for the qualification has decreased by 3 credits from 288-367 to 285-364.
· The name of the standards setter is now InfraTrain New Zealand.
Transition
People currently working towards an earlier version of this qualification may choose to complete that version or transfer their results to version 4. All versions of this qualification will be recognised by InfraTrain New Zealand.
