Revision of Digital Printing qualification

 

National Certificate in Printing (Digital Printing) (Level 3) [Ref: 1037]

 

The Printing & Allied Industries Training Council has revised the above qualification listed above that was registered in July 2003.

 

Date new version published                        May 2004

 

Reason for the revision

 

The revision was made to provide more flexibility within the Generic Computing domain.

 

Main changes resulting from the revision

 

The revision process has resulted in the following changes to this qualification.

 

Changes to structure and content

·          unit standards 2780, 2781 and 5941 have been removed from the compulsory section

·          a second elective section has been added requiring a minimum of 12 credits at level 2 or above from the Generic Computing domain

·          credits have been reduced from 79 to 77.

 

Transition

 

People currently working towards an earlier version of this qualification will transfer their results to this version of the qualification.  Last date for award of previous versions is not applicable.
