Reason for the revision

The qualification was revised in response to feedback from industry and to incorporate new unit standards.  Unit standard 19713 was substituted for unit standard 4645 following feedback from industry that parts of 4645 were difficult to assess in a casino gaming environment.  Unit standard 19715 was also added to the elective section as it relates to a new game that was introduced to some casinos in New Zealand.  Unit standard 9906 was removed from the elective section as the same skills are recognised in unit standards 18210 and 18223 in the compulsory section.

Main changes resulting from the revision

Changes to structure and content

·               Unit standard 19713 was substituted for 4645 in the compulsory section

·               Unit standard 19715 was added to the elective section

·               Unit standard 9906 was removed from the elective section

·               Level 2 credits have increased from 0 to 2

·               Level 3 credits have decreased from 49 to 47

·               Overall total credits are unchanged.
