The ElectroTechnology Industry Training Organisation in conjunction with the Motor Rewinding Industry Advisory Group has completed the revision of the unit standard listed above that was registered in August 2002.

 

The review of this unit standard is planned to take place during 2007.

Reason for the revision

 

Because of some difficulties in obtaining timely off-job training and assessment for this unit standard, the Motor Rewinding Industry Advisory Group recommended that provision be made in the unit standard for workplace learning and assessment as well.

 

Main changes resulting from the revision

 

·        Special note 1 has been changed to read as follows to allow workplace training and assessment of the unit standard:

This unit standard has been developed for learning and assessment off-job.  For trainees engaged in motor rewinding and repair, workplace training and assessment would be more appropriate.

 

·        Minor editorial corrections have been made.
