Summary of review and consultation process
The review was notified through HSI publications, both print and web. A review workshop was held with a representative group of stakeholders. Changes were made to the existing units and the drafts circulated to the working party for feedback and endorsement.
Main changes resulting from the review
· Changes to words and phrases were made to improve clarity
· Performance criteria in unit standard 16891 were amalgamated to improve clarity
· Some changes were made to better define range statements and in some cases clarify how much evidence is required
· The title of unit standard 16895 was changed, replacing the phrase 'supply chain management' with 'purchasing and stores management' to reflect terminology which is currently used and widely understood in Hospitality workplaces.
