The NZQA Māori Qualifications Services decided that the unit standards listed above, which were registered in September 1998, and November 1999, should have their period of registration extended to December 2007.

 

The reason for the revision and rollover is that the unit standards have not been used sufficiently to warrant a review at this stage.

 

The revision has resulted in the following changes:

·      References to legislation have been updated to incorporate developments and amendments and make associated changes in terminology.

·      The titles of two unit standards have been changed (see table below).

·      Moderation statements have been updated.

·      Purpose statements have been adjusted to reflect element statements.

·      The requirements for completing unit standard 16353 have been further clarified.  Only one statement is required.

 

The review of these unit standards is planned to take place by December 2007.
