Revision of Pharmacy qualifications

National Certificate in Pharmacy (Technician) (Level 5) with strands in Hospital, and Community [Ref: 0423]

National Certificate in Pharmacy (Assistant) (Level 3) [Ref: 0469]

The Pharmacy ITO has revised the qualifications listed above that were registered in May 1998 and January 2001.

Date new versions published                        April 2005

The review of these qualifications is planned to take place in                        December 2005

Reason for the revision

As a result of legislative changes, on 18 September 2004 the Pharmaceutical Society of NZ ceased to exist and became the Pharmaceutical Society of NZ Inc.  This means that all certificates issued after this date should have their new title.  As this revision was required, the ITO felt that it was timely to include the Pharmacy ITO name and logo on all certificates issued as well.

The qualifications were both updated to show the new credit value for unit standard 525 and the planned review date was changed from January to December 2005.

The names of the organisations to be included on the certificates have been updated.
