Summary of review and consultation process

The unit standards listed above were reviewed as part of the Māori Qualifications Services review cycle, to ensure that the standards are fit for purpose and applicable to current issues.  Whakaruruhau members and Tikanga providers were informed of the review and invited to provide feedback.  Due to the large number of standards involved, the review was split into three groups.  The first group of reviewed standards was registered in February 2005.

Main changes resulting from the review

The whakaruruhau has decided to categorise the unit standards in the Tikanga Practices domain listed above as review category C.  They have been replaced by eight new unit standards that deal with each practice separately.
