Revision of Te Ao Tūroa qualification

 

National Certificate in Te Ao Tūroa [Ref: 0931]

 

The Sports, Fitness, and Recreation Industry Training Organisation (SFRITO) has revised the above qualification that was registered in February 2002.

The review of this qualification is planned to take place in 2007

 

Reason for the revision

 

This qualification was revised to mitigate the impact of the review of the Outdoor Recreation unit standards.

 

Main changes resulting from the revision

 

Due to the extent of the changes in the Outdoor Recreation review, Elective 3 has been expanded to allow credits from anywhere in the Outdoor Recreation subfield.

 

The title of version 2 now also includes the level of the qualification: National Certificate in Te Ao Tūroa (Level 3).

 

Transition

 

People working towards version 1 may either complete that version or transfer their results to version 2 of the qualification.  However, to the best of Sfrito's knowledge, no trainee or learner has ever enrolled in a programme leading to Version 1 of this qualification.
