Summary of review and consultation process
In developing the new National Certificate in Public Sector Services (Field/Community Advisors) [Ref: 1106], the need for an underpinning unit standard to 8478 was identified. Feedback revealed that unit standard 8478 did not meet the needs of users in its current format because it contained elements that were only performed at managerial level.
As a result unit standard 8478 has
beenwas
replaced by two new unit standards, Unit 21061, Administer government grants
through a public sector organisation and Unit XXXXX 21441, Develop processes to
administer a government grant through a public sector organisation.
. Both
unit standards were developed through the same consultation process as was used
for the National Certificate in Public Sector Services (Field/Community
Advisors) [Ref: 1106].
Main changes resulting from the review
Unit standard 8478 has beenwas split into two unit
standards, one specifically about developing processes to administer government
grants through a public sector organisation (unit standard XXXXX21441), and the other about administering
government grants through a public sector organisation (unit standard
21061).
Unit standard 8478, categorised as category C, expires at the end of
December 2006.
